This is why procrastination can be an eternally damaging thing. We must never put off tomorrow what can be done today.

If repentance and faith in Jesus are essential to a genuine salvation “experience”, one wonders how J.Thaddeus could ‘plan’ a genuine (mind and heart) response to the Gospel and declare a love for Jesus at a particular point in time. It seems that at the 11th hour there was more likely to occur a false conversion unlike this: Acts 2:37 Now when they heard this, they were acutely distressed and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, “What should we do, brothers?” Peter said to them, “Repent, and each one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. For the promise is for you and your children, and for all who are far away, as many as the Lord our God will call to himself.” With many other words he testified and exhorted them saying, “Save yourselves from this perverse generation!” 41 So those who accepted his message were baptized, and that day about three thousand people were added.

This false idea that you can get saved whenever you like, putting man in charge of God’s mercy is the result of Arminian preaching.

    Oh yes!

Just what I am desperately trying to tell people here in my congregation to encourage them in telling others the truth about Jesus Christ. (Stephen’s comments notwithstanding).

You can lead a horse to (living water) but you can’t make him drink.

it’s a good saying, but the issue is that you can’t lead a dead horse.

“For since death came through a man, the resurrection of the dead comes also through a man. For as in Adam ALL die, so in Christ ALL will be made alive. But each in turn…” I Cor 15

Since 10:30 falls within the eleventh hour, does that mean he was saved?

Never put off tomorrow what you can do today. J.Thaddeus was tardy!

Bad timing, I think not. Timing was perfect, seeing how God does the seeking and saving of the lost. Thaddeus was deceived into thinking salvation is of man.
