Maybe Play-Doh Presbyterians? Baptist parents would never baptize their baby. Sacrilege!

@Gail – I think it’s a play on words with paedo-baptist, ie baptist with a small b (referring to their theology) rather than a big B (referring to their denomination (who would be credo-baptists theologically)).

Oh MY!! I haven’t laughed this hard in a while. Amazing how some of these just “catch” you off guard!

Brian blurted,.. while I was on the phone with my co-elder. Takes a lot to make a Clown blurt. Count that one as a home run!

Being a staunch Credobaptist, this one won with me! But I’m moulded that way…..

ha ha ha ha ha ha ha….
(I’m an omni-baptist – I’ll baptise anyone in faith, including the ‘whole household’)

Whew!! I’m glad the Galatian Christians didn’t have Play-Doh!

Thank goodness for Google. Was I the only person who had NO idea what paedobaptism means?
Comment by Angus — September 19, 2012 @ 4:49 pm
Yes, George. Yes, you were.

I had no idea what that was either…I never personally witness an infant baptism. Infant dedications…
You learn something new every day!

This was a much KNEADED subject. “Too much leavening in one’s play doh makes for a soggy lump.” Hezekiah 13:4
These Baptists were going to baptize their baby in the bathroom sink????
Comment by SavedGirl — September 21, 2012 @ 12:04 pm
They must be hybrid Baptist since it appears that they believe in immersion as well.

Excellent “play-doh” on words…and creeds! Love it!

I didn’t laugh when I first read it… but then I got it.

Carol, we who baptize our infants refer to infant dedications as dry cleaning.
