Many bird-brains, in a “fowl” mood, wrongly judge good sermons.

Only the wise give a hoot for the message and apply it to their lives.

I’m sure this will have many a tweeting….While this is a “fowl” subject, and I’m sure many will be “angry” about it….birds of a feather flock together…and it seems that this particular group of birds had their feathers ruffled by the vital sermon “Rev. Hank” delivered on Leviticus 1:16-17 “And he shall pluck away his crop with is feathers, and cast it beside the altar on the east part, by the place of the ashes: and he shall cleave it with the wings thereof, but shall not divide it asunder: and the priest shall burn it upon the altar….” Poor Rev. Hank had some bones to pick with them on this issue that he was preaching about the old covenant and the offerings….This is what happens when you don’t have “ears to hear”…

Needless to say, those angry birds were sent to a Hebraic Roots church..and thus used in an offering…

I am sure that having a sharp wit is one of the fruits of the spirit. It has to be, I just haven’t found it in Scripture yet. Thanks for the work that you do here.

Poor Brother Hank. He was faithfully going through his series on the Lord’s sermon on the mount and just wanted to stay true to the text.
“Look at the birds of the air…are you not of more value than they?”

At what point do the angry birds explode? When they hear which text is to be preached on, or when they hear what it really means, or when the truth hits them… ???

Always knocking things down, aren’t they? Getting all up in the air about something, but never really building one another up. Whenever one of these birds land, it’s a disaster for anyone who wants to just stay as content as a pig in mud.

Interesting how something in our “pop culture” can remind us of “types” in the churches. The never pleased group of birds who attack any bit of preaching or teachings and always seem grumpy…..

Looks like the “flock” from Westboro knocked down the door and started squawking.

Why does this remind me of Hayao Miyazaki’s “Spirited Away” (Oscar 2002)? Set in the world of the Shinto kami (gods) it featured 3 living heads (no bodies) which rolled around the floor. No, I am NOT promoting the animist movie but could there be a correlation between the 3 heads of that movie and the 3 heads of criticism? Does this make sense? We need to hear from your cartoonist Angus. Is he/she Japanese???

They are aplenty in the pews and the pulpit these days.
