Maybe this is the church Ann Rice is looking for.

    Hypercalvinists?

  • Comment by Les — August 4, 2010 @ 9:34 pm

It’s worse than that David, it’s Scottish hypercalvinists living in Vegas.

  • Comment by Lance Haverkamp — August 4, 2010 @ 11:16 pm

    Wouldn’t a “Hypercalvinist” be redundant?

  • Comment by Don — August 4, 2010 @ 11:28 pm

Not really. Not Really. *raise eyebrow- shrug shoulder*

Just as the Crusaders were called Christian and most of them were not, and many who call them selves Christin are anything but…. the Hypercalvinist is not Calvinistic, they only have “Calvin” in their label… usually in their undershorts.

Not hyper-calvinists – they at least have commitment to something.

No, this church is clearly for your normal run-of-the-mill Christian who doesn’t want anyone to know that Christ means anything at all, or would change anything about your life, or would make demands on you,, or would challenge the word and it’s way of doing things.

    About 1/3rd of my congregation then… :(

sorry, should have read “challenge the WORLD”

Is the policeman posted there to keep the goat-pen “safe” from Truth?

  • Comment by JD — August 5, 2010 @ 8:32 am

This may be prophetic of what is coming from, most likely, the 9th Circuit Court – freedom from religion – keep your Christian beliefs inside your four walls, not in the public arena – enforced by a chain link fence and the police.

Has the Catholics raised themselves a Vatican Police Force???

But is this sign addressing the goats, or the “leaders” of the church?

  • Comment by Tater2000 — August 6, 2010 @ 1:30 pm

This sign is in too many churches. What we see in church, do in church, and hear in church, shouldn’t be left in church.

  • Comment by Carol — August 6, 2010 @ 6:50 pm

..Unless the message we hear in church is “God is love, and He has a plan for your life, if you sow seeds to our ministry, He will give you back a hundredfold”
