Nebraska farmer Leon J. Batterson sent us this photo of his mule, Otis, pinning down the notorious Coddington Borax, who was about to spray-paint an anti-Calvinist slur on his hide. Before local law enforcement could arrive to apprehend the fugitive, however, Borax was able to escape by distracting Otis with the sudden statement, “Hey, isn’t that R.C. Sproul over by the barn?”

I’m surprised he was patient enough for that old mule to get to sit on his lap…much less attempt to put a message on his back. They rascal!

Discerning Beasts as Humphrey and Otis do have their weaknesses that the likes of Coddington prey upon!
