This is so beautiful it made me weep. I memorized this “work of smart” and used it in my ventriloquist act. My dummy, Knucklenose McMaggot, said the last forty lines while I was drinking a gallon of Sunny D. I felt like I had been re-baptized! Thanks!

Or if you’re in an hurry just type “Miriam and Melanin” into the Search box for the latest limerick. Not all of them are funny but then neither is all of the Bible.

So many times I’ve been in fellowships that ponder long and hard their theological navels: “No time for levity, we must be constantly sober for the Lord.” Frankly, these assemblies leave me wanting. Can a Christian be truly Christ-centered and still have a sense of humor?! It’s no wonder the world finds us pious, proud and provoking…

With the day I’ve had today, I needed to laugh. This site made that happen. While understanding the concern about sarcasm and humor being raised by some, I would suggest that you not change a thing. Humor is an attribute given to us by our Creator, so let’s enjoy it and understand that it indeed can be used to make points just as well as any other means. (In fact, I’m pretty sure that God uses it when pointing out that Elijah was wondering if the pagan god baal was out relieving itself among other places.)

In as much as many of the the goings on in contemporary evangelicalism are beyond absurd I heartily agree that parody done in good taste can often delineate that as well or better than many words.

Sacred Sandwich accomplishes this and more providing healthy food for starving sheep.
