I think that’s supposed to be “Calvary Chapelites”, but compulsively late churchgoers works too.
Then again, that guy is wearing a tie. My bad.

And, of course, what makes it especially funny is that I have been that guy; but I recall being more confused than shocked

I don’t know if it was due to the fact he arrived at church EARLY, or that he forgot to put on his suit jacket and arrived wearing his bathrobe….oh that is a fright…but then he may have been preparing the message about bedtime blues…how to make the most of a budget wardrobe but still look like a million…this matters in today’s post modern churchette.

Matt, compulsively late churchgoers are also known as “latter day saints”.

I never tell the bus kids about the time change in the fall, always seem to have a few more kids that way.

I once went to bed eager for the extra hour of sleep before men’s group EARLY Sunday morning. I forgot about it, made the 40 minute drive, got to church, realized my error, and was completely heartbroken.

I got there late… which was a blessing… only had to hear the last 3 choruses of a 5-11 song (5 verses 11 choruses)….
but then I worked till midnight and didn’t go to bed till the second 2AM

An occasional visiting preacher at a friend’s church says he loves preaching there because after you pray and open your eyes, there are more people there!
