I think they missed the “jesus” from the “Jesus” film that was passed around and shown in churches. Goodness gracious…you can’t miss the smiling “jesus” from the Matthew version…And the one that was in the “Gospel of John”…
And… You missed the “jesus” from “The Greatest Story Ever Told” and “King of Kings”….and if you count the one in Ben Hur…you would only have a hand….
You must keep up on all your ‘jesus’ images…

all this makes me think of the Todd Agnew song…. “My Jesus” espicialy the line…. “I think my Jesus would be comfortable with the Beale Street crowd than the Stained Glass Set”

I don’t imagine Jesus really liking us thinking up images of him to suit our desires…..

For the Record, He would have looked like an average Israeli, not an American….. and He was not just in living color, he was the creator of colors and light…

But seriously, Rather than think merely of Jesus smiling at one point, we ought to think of where Jesus is now…. and tremble a little and love Him deeply if we are Forgiven and Saved… preaching to myself here….
