I’ll see your three hymnals and raise you two more!

Duncan Pratt doesn’t look like he beleives earl’s ablity to produce the two hymnals. Clyde just joined in on the game. He’s an Emergent and quite honestly misinterpreted the watermellon as an ear of corn and doesn’t have a clue.

Earl:”Oh you mean the parable of the seeds do NOT apply to those spit out of one’s mouth????”

Clyde: “Indeed we missed the mark of this demonstration. How can our congregation truly understand that we need “seed” money in order to improve our kitchen facilities?”

Duncan: “We need to re think or illustration of sowing seeds…for the janitorial staff have indeed complained about the cleanup after these demonstrations!”

“It is not what goes in to the mouth of a man that defiles him, but what comes out!”

The rather pained expressions on the faces of Bros. Earl and Duncan give new meaning to “seed planting”,as they struggle with their precarious denture situations.(Bro.Clyde,in the middle, did the “needful thing”.His teeth are in his pocket.)

Such intensity, such passion. If only their efforts were more concentrated on something that would really be RELEVANT…to today’s crowd….somehow watermelons are not part of the post modern “wow” factor!

Sadly, as with the modern melons, many of today’s churches are ’seedless’.

Steve, you hit the nail on the head with that comment!

Indeed, how can they sow “Seed” offerings when they are seedless???
