LOL!! One of the best pieces of advice I ever got as a preacher was, “When preaching never miss an opportunity to stop talking”.

Although in the Tabernacle of Lawn Chairs, the crowd was mesmerized by the message.

I have always found a well timed, hearty,”Amen” to be a powerful alarm clock. It also evokes many stunned looks and startled reactions in the “congregation of the somnolent”.

    Lulu,
I’ve seen a hearty “Amen!” wake up the preacher, too! His own rabbit trail made him lethargic.

A “hearty AMEN” has been known to cause the ceiling to cave in…

I had to leave a church because one guy couldn’t stop saying “AMEN BROTHER!!” all through the Pastor’s sermons. I mean, there limits to what a man can take.
