It was worth waiting for.

The BOB version? Where can I get that from?
Comment by Tyler — June 8, 2009 @ 6:32 am
Where’s the “Message”…?
Comment by Denita — June 8, 2009 @ 8:11 am
Probably unable to attend because it’s worshipping at a 90-foot tall statue of Joel Olsteen…

I’m disappointed not to see the new Joel Osteen “Hope For Life Study Bible” up there on the side. It is “…filled with insights, notes, and encouragements from Joel and Victoria designed to help you grow deeper in your walk with God. It also includes specific verses that you can pray over your relationships, your children, your finances, and your health. In addition, “HopePoints” are key words and supporting scriptures related to topics such as favor, forgiveness, anger, depression, loneliness, self-control, and many more.”
Now, how many years of arminian penance must I do to receive forgiveness of my sin of mentioning Osteen on this site?

I would have like to have seen the moment when the Amplified Bible met the Ultra-Thin Bible. I heard that the Large Print, Red-Letter Family Bible was seen with four pocket-sized little ones trailing behind.

My, we do have such a wide variety of Bible “Versions” to pick from don’t we? We didn’t see the “Visual Bible” or the “Bible on DVD” mentioned either….how could we avoid these?
Hmmmm….what does this say about “Christianity” in the United States?

Nice one Eddie! However, the Large Print, Red-Letter Family-Driven Bible heard that there was going to be a nursery and boycotted the conference.
Of course, the seminary students showed up with the name tags:
χαῖρε. ὀνόματί μου ἐστιν βίβλος

So it was the KJV that made all the damage…

BOB. The Bible of Bibles.
Comment by Kyle — June 9, 2009 @ 12:52 am
Where was the Message? Simple. This was a BIBLE conference, so only Bibles were there, meaning the Message wasn’t invited.

… The convention seemed to go well until the Klingon version showed up!

Wouldn’t they have met already at Bible College?

The “Green Bible” is especially popular at the “Mother Earth/Father God Bible Camp.” (I think it’s run by Jim Wallis and the Sojourners.)

There were a few 1611 Versions that attended, but hardly anyone recognized them!

Carol,
No visual Bible nor Bible on DVD allowed! This was a REAL Bible conference! Good grief, we have to stand for something.

Not to worry, the Readers Digest Version just arrived in time for it’s keynote address.
