Deacon Trimble had been advocating this method of handling “filthy lucre” for years.

Gives a whole new meaning to Isaiah 52:11 (KJV)
“Depart ye, depart ye, go ye out from thence, touch no unclean thing…”.

Looks as if Deacon Trimble is taking due care of his flock by insuring they do not touch the unclean lucre–But what about the rest of the congregation? Does the church offer the necessary ritual cleansing ceremony?

He could have saved the surgical fees if he’d had the Holy Mask and Glove annointing. There’s no need for real masks and gloves with that and the cash can be counted and sorted on the pastor’s private Holy Lear jet.

The men were all slightly confused by the strange “zero” that appeared after some of the “one” markings on the bills, they had never seen that before.
It was even whispered among deacon circles (being merely a legend) that once in an offering plate there was a dollar with more than one zero behind the one.

In the wake of recent audits of a number of high profile ministries, Deacon Trimble was tasked with ensuring that the church’s finances were demonstrably ‘clean’.

When they take the “money laundering” literally….they use the Ultra Cheer Money Detergent and place it on the gentle cycle of their Maytag Collection Money Washing Machine. This was obtained through a raffle and hoagie sale!

What’s even more annoying is the occasional “million dollar bill” tract that shows up in the offering plate every few sundays…
