The winner gets a month’s supply of humble pie. But…what if it’s a tie?

But this is much more humane than the typical cage match method of debating eschatological positions!

Oh, I thought this was possibly one of those practical lessons taught in the “Men’s Church”. Manliness is next to godliness, especially if one can outwrestle the other on doctrinal issues!

I read that a hip pastor and church grower had a replica of “ahe Octagon” fighting cage erected in his “manly” church ..to attract other “manly”. I heard of another manly man’s church who remodelled their mens bathroom with Harley Davidson paraphenalia! (When you flushed, a Hog recording throttled up! PTL! I wonder if Paul had the early church remodel their meeting place into “gladiator and chariots” motefe?

Okay. It’s agreed then. We will use our right arms. Now what?

The”Social Gospel” movement is SO much more advantageous for promoting “humility and piety” than arm wrestling! Besides getting your face out there, all those “good works”,like lawn chores, roof repair, and oil changes for the “unchurched”(whatever that means),definitely burns more calories than arm wrestling…an added bonus!

Didn’t you know the latest exercise craze to hit the post modern churches sinces yoga was Richard Simmons, “Sweatin’ to CCM”. Their idea of a step workout is getting up and down off their soapboxes. The clown and mime ministry also are tied for their share of burning the most calories while performing the Gospel message in their respective avenues of “ministry”.
Oh, for the “manliest manly church” they were church planters who used to be tax collectors, fishermen and one used to make tents!

..on humility…well, being “wild at heart” with armwrestling, cowboys, beer, motorcyle decor in the men’s room, and giving out shotglasses with Bible tracts etched on them is a start!
