I'm not sure that the doughnut that RW would offer CHS would do him much good.

But then CHS would offer RW the truth about Jesus Christ, which can only do good.

We would see Jesus (only). Not as the World see's him, but as He is, begotton of the Father full of Grace and truth. He who knew the company of Angels condesended to walk along with Men with dust on His sacred feet. He who became poor that we might become rich. Who in himself took upon Himself the sins of all who would truly believe.

Some say he was a Prophet or a great Man, but we see Him who framed the Worlds by the cordant music of his voice. Yes, vieled in flesh the Godheas see, Hail the incarnate Deity. May his Name be ever exalted in the midst of the Congregation!

What bothers me most is not Rick Warren. It's how many pastors and lay people have opted speak on so many other (church?) issues and have either put Jesus Christ on the back burner or have taken up the cause of a different Jesus and a different gospel.

I had the privilege of being in London once and attending a worship service at the Metropolitan Tabernacle. To my delight, the service was all about Spurgeon's Christ. Dr. Peter Masters never mentioned CHS in his sermon, and there was nothing in the building that I saw with Spurgeon's name on it. Mr. Surrgeon would not have had it any other way.

Okay, okay. When did this become about Warren? Or Spurgeon for that matter? Read Spurgeon's first and last words (in the next post) at the Tabernacle to see on Whom we should be focusing: Jesus Christ! Amen?

What kind of a man denies the statements his own mouth makes, even when those statements are recorded? What sort of "Pastor" agrees to compromise with sinful, and apostate systems, and openly embraces some, for the sake of promoting his"Hubris-Driven"agenda? Who would be blaphemous enough to prostitute a baptism service as an opportunity to get a picture taken with him and parellel the experience of his ministry anniversary to Penecost?...Should we even mention this lunatics name in the same sentence as Spurgeon,a fire-trialed man of God?
