We have a 'roadside church' just this size in a podunk town down the road.
Haven't heard any rock 'n' roll, though the banjos have been heard on several occasions.

It's not funny!! I'm sure I've seen "churches" just like that one at the entrance to various cemeteries here in Australia.
Maybe that church is only hiring the building from the local cemetery trustees for Sundays? For use during the week it wouldn't have really big crowds. After all, most people at a burial don't wan't to end up where they assume the deceased is heading to!

I've just stumbled on this sad post. Don't you know you can only ever fill a church three quarters full? If they want to fill it they have to enlarge it first... (Just don't ask me how they get three quarters of a person in there in the first place...)

First of all, using the name Jehosaphat probably threw many people off because they are not familiar with "Bible" names...being they aren't in their Bibles any longer...

Secondly, using the term "church" is not seeker friendly and creates the atmosphere of "self righteous" or "hypocrites"..

Thirdly, location, location, location...since it's not next to a Dunkin' Donuts or Mc Donalds, most of the citizens would not have traveled down the road to this humble place.

And then, not offering "sacred wipe cloths" may have detered many a driver.

Have they thought about a rocking chair for the front porch? How about advertising a "corn-cob" Sunday?!
