I would laugh, but it’s true.

What I like about Christian satire/humor/inner-tainment is that it sucker-punches you in the face with a stark look at reality!
I go to your blot everyday before I ever start working on mine…(sleepy need coffee)…and many times (like today) you inspire me and give me ideas to use for my own blog. (like today) I hope I can return the favor someday…or at least return your lawn mower.

This morning, a world-friendly Presbyterian told me he was aghast at the recent shenanigans at the church formerly known as “Fellowship of the Woodlands” (I refer to Kerry Shook’s goat pen as “Cirque du Shook”), in the greater Houston area. They had a pirate ship on stage. sigh
Ed Young, Sr. was on TV last year with lots of eggs and man in a bunny suit – with the message “Even the Easter Bunny knows Second Baptist is the place to be on Easter Sunday!”. sigh
May God have mercy on us, for we are unprofitable servants.

This serves as an accurate commentary on the state of things today. Who would have thought 20 or 30 years ago that it would come to this…. oh wait we’ve been warned for longer than that.

Hilarious and so on the spot. This new “deeds not creeds” reformation certainly is interesting to behold as it takes form.

Eddie, you should keep the lawnmower. I have read on conspiracy sites that the League of Tyndale has their own underground banking network. If you look closely at their symbol, you can see the glare coming off the gold that is “obviously hidden” behind their sacred book.

After my last post, I had a rather disturbing visit from an albino theologian in a black trench coat…so I take back everything I said.

Well, that was easy!

This reads like the “bulletin/entertainment section” at the mega-church my folks attend! But,I think we are close to the bottom of the barrel;one of our local “goat pens” had a banner out advertising the,”… miming of the ‘Stations of the Cross’…”.This, I am sure was followed by “soup and conversation”.

All I can say is “ouch.” Too true.

If it were not true it would be funny, but it’s deeply saddening that the most horrendous ideas are being used in what is supposedly called God’s “House of Prayer”.
All of these “goat pens” are filled with dens of thieves! They steal the truth from these blind sheep.

LuLu said in her comment a local goat pen advertising “Miming the Stations of the Cross”…..why don’t they just have someone dress up like an old Indian chief like was seen in cheesy westerns and just have a “smoke signal” church service?
