I too noticed you don't state that the Bible can be found in Christian Bookshops, in England, they are stacked together with the books of other belief systems. And the price is outrageous, considering nobody is supposed to profit from selling The Bible. When I consider Tyndale lost his very life to bring to Englands shores The Bible my heart breaks.

I thought about buying one of these Bibles until somebody told me it would take a whole year to read. Doesn't God know how busy I am?!? Besides who has the money to buy one right now - and don't even get me started on how they treat cows just to get the leather covers. (I’ve even seen a picture of a cow wearing a sandwich board in protest.) Besides I found a free abridged version on the internet written by Thomas Jefferson. I mean, he's like a Founding Father of America right, so he must be an expert on religion.

I like the small print, "Available in MOST Christian Bookstores"... Hmmm. Tucked away in a corner at the back of the store....NOT in the front that's where you find your Fad Driven Life...I mean Purpose Driven life and "Your Best Fad Now". Uh, you know what I mean....and your Je$u$ Junk...you know, the manicure set with a cross engraved on it, or those prayer jelly beans...You know they edify the body of Christ!....

Reminds me of a conversation I had with a gentleman during the"Passion of the Christ" movie craze. The fellow was expounding on the greatness of the movie and I replied (sarcastically)"...I hear it's coming out in a book soon...",to which he enthusiastically replied,"...REALLY? Are you serious?" Sad, but true.
