Baa baa fake sheep have you any wool?
Yes dude, yes dude we’re not dull.
    We’ve got a circus,
We’ve got a stage, [or sage, or mage]
    We’ve got the world’s stuff
    It’s all the rage.

    (I’m no poet either) 8-)

It must be difficult to be the one discerning sheep in the flock.

Discernment nowadays = Unloving, divisionsist, hateful, paranoid, the great enemy, “fundamentalist”…choke, gasp, sputter…!

I’m no washer…hey you were on a roll…maybe you get a job as staff rapper at saddleback…!

Tyler – I’ve been told I have not love because I do not embrace Warren, Osteen, or Obama. This by a self proclaimed “post-modern Christian”, whatever that is.

Here’s my attempt at being a song writer (with apologies to Dennis Jernigan): http://brogdensmuse.menofhonorministry.org/Apologetics/I%20Believe%20in%20Jesus.htm

There was a time I’d have jumped at the chance. Thank the Lord for His Word. He pulled the wool from my eyes. Narrows your fellowship circle tho.

    But-

“…but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.”
    Joshua 24:15b (NASB)

    Manfred…
I lay down my keyboard in respect to your superior song writing talent.

Talking about sheep, one church outing was on a canal boat. A friend suddenly jumped off the boat, ran across a field to this sheep and rolled it over onto its front. Apparently if you leave sheep lying on their backs they explode! Wow! Good job ‘third wavers’ didn’t/don’t do the same thing.

Ewe are still one of the creative dudes on the blog-fold.

In today’s Church of the Sheeple the one who dared ask “Who said that?” would certainly be labeled as the divisive one and the flock would shift to the left with it’s shepherd leaving the one in greener pastures.

Tyler, you said a mouthful. Thanks.

Jeff – you nailed the reason I am no longer with the “church of congeniality” which we called home for 10 years.

“I’m no washer” – you are too kind. I am but a one-hit-wonder, trying to get Ken Silva to record my song :-)

Your song pretty much sums it up Manfred…

    ONLY Christ Saves…or Rick Warren…?

    Tyler,

Rick Warren may save, but only if he shops at Wal-Mart.

My “where’s the love?” critiques of his pitiful books can be found on this page: http://brogdensmuse.menofhonorministry.org/Apologetics.htm
