The Sacred Sandwich

In an effort to discredit the Bible, atheist Milton Kefawver of Sandusky, OH, put a chimpanzee in front of a typewriter to prove that anyone could write scripture. Though the experiment failed horribly, Bobo the chimp was immediately signed by Zondervan. His future projects include Your Best Banana Now and The Purpose-Driven Tire Swing.

Followed not long after by “The Secret Message of Tarzan”.

Kefawver and those aethists need to learn to fight fair. The Holy Spirit inspired primates who did not have the benefit of typewriters. Fight fair!

    ROFL!
Don’t forget that Bobo will be holding a leadership conference at Saddleback and Willow Creek with their “Wild at Gutt” seminars.

You know that Monkey see Monkey do.

The Da Monkey Code that claims that the 13th disciple was a white gorilla named Sully.

And the worship music that Bobo leads at Saddleback is, you’ve guessed it “Hey, Hey We’re the Monkees”

    Hey Hey we’re the monkeys
    People say we monkey around
    We’re too busy preachin’
    To put anybody down

We preach whatever we want to
Sing what we like to do
    And before it’s all done
    have a potluck lunch…

    repeat the “worship” chorus

Bubbles the Chimp will also be performing as juggler and mime before the service!

And the feature film will be “Planet of the Apes”

    to Joshua from Omaha,

A bit vitriolic?? I can understand the snaps at Saddleback, which the constant marketing and such. I can even understand your gripe against the magazines. However, as a member of Piper’s church, and knowing his theology and his reluctance to endorse many a thing, gotta ask “what’s your beef?”

  • Comment by Jeremy — March 2, 2009 @ 9:09 pm

I gotta agree with Paul, why the cheap shot at Piper? Completely unwarrented.

  • Comment by Denise — March 15, 2009 @ 8:52 pm

Well, from my research, John Piper lacks discernment shown by his endorsement of men whose mouths are full of filth and rot while demeaning Jesus Christ and linking to an x-rated website “for Christian couples” (a la Mark Driscoll and Paul Tripp).
