And they were waiting for the Dixieland Jazz Band to perform hymns at their church following the Bagpipe Band. We can only hope that “WHen THe Saints Go Marching In” could be performed on bagpipes…

I hear what you’re saying, AT. I would love to find a really good recording of cutting-edge bagpipers playing new arrangements of some of the classic Christian hymns. If it was done right, it could be amazing.

You know what would be awesome? If there was a cd with “Be Thou My Vision” being played with bagpipes, pounding drums, and a men’s chorus. That would be cool. But no such thing exists, that I can find.

I can’t even imagine what “butterfly kisses” would sound like on bagpipes. Funny concept though.

A couple of those guys have daughters that recently got married. Do you have any idea how hard it is to play Butterfly Kisses on the bagpipes while you’re sobbing?

Quite a “doozie” I must say! Although one may think that there would be some “rock” music performed on bagpipes! Being that more churches are into Christian “Rock” Music.
