It was hoped that a skit with live actors could convey the unpopular truth of Rev 3:16ff.

Just a personal note for the new year…I don’t believe these Dubious Photojournalistic spots are a caption contest. No one can top the humor of the original. So why not just add to the fun by going along with the intended caption? Don’t mean to offend anyone but, I think the author is one of the funniest guys on the planet. I know, I would never try to compete with his well-thought out wit…besides I am only a half-wit myself!

btw…I know of a caption contest in progress if you are interested!

Never thought of a “contest” and would never try to detract from the original, just adding one’s own insights towards the subject. Sorry I’m NOT one of the funniest people on the planet!
Didn’t intend to be! : )

Actually this looks like the guy had a bit too much “comtemplative spirituality” and it was testing his gag reflex!

Forgive me please. I don’t think I came across the right way. I was only suggesting that we should not try to create an alternate caption (which the author has worked hard to refine) but, to compliment the intention by going along with the original concept. That way, we contribute to the overall effect of the joke and not try and take it in a new direction. I learned this the hard way. I was in a training session for improvisational comedy as a team. When I stepped in I would counter the flow of the routine by negating what had been going on before. The director stopped me and explained what I was doing wrong. After that, I began to build on what was going on instead of always throwing a wrench into the routines. I didn’t realize what I was doing and how it was more of an irritation to the other comics. It’s just my opinion and I don’t mean to offend anyone…so please take this as a suggestion. I, by no means, want to take away the fun of this site. Maybe, I should stop now…
